What to Wear on the Red Carpet?

Coats for Taste Awards Red Carpet

As some of you know, I’m up for an Award due this week, the First Perfumer nominated for the Taste Awards:

Background

So I want to take a poll, and have a draw for a bottle of your choice for all those who participate…

I want to know which coat I should wear to be seen on the Red Carpet…?   The awards night is definitely more casual than the Oscars per se, but Still have to be well dressed and classy…

Above are my choices, Or I could even wear my tuxedo, I suppose, but not quite as fun as any of these coats.

L-R the coats and choices are

1. The beautiful and wonderful smelling tanned deerskin fringed and beaded leather jacket

2. The Wonderfully decorated Black Leather Southwest Indian with a bit of fringe and lots of Color…

3. The more sedate Chimayo NM weaving inset panel on Black Wool

4. The PK Dreamcoat, safety pins on Black wool

5. Black Tuxedo

The Safety Pin coat comes directly out of my own dreams…  and I woke up so that I could write down the idea.  I even dreamed the placement of the pins in that pattern too, AMAZING!  Then I proceeded to make it out of a $5 thrift store Wool coat and a $2 box of pins.  – Cheap too, and gets lots of compliments.

So make a comment, and we’ll have a draw for a 1oz. bottle from the commenters…

  1. The Chimayo NM may appear subdued in your selection, but it’ll Pop against the many tuxedos being worn by others. Good Luck!

  2. Dreamcot is TOPS!

  3. I think that Chimayo would be a perfect fit for your Red Leather perfume.

  4. Dreamcoat rocks! At least in this picture it looks like bunch of stars/clouds/UFOs floating in the universe, very dreamy! It also attests to your creativity, a desirable trait for a perfumer. Second place choice would be the deerskin.

  5. My vote is for your safety pin coat; it’s cool, it’s classic, and like your perfume it’s your own creation. Best of luck at the awards!

  6. Congratulations Paul!!! Chimayo – because I think you can really dress it UP. I’ve not smelled your scents Paul and I would LOVE to. All the very best and ENJOY your big night!!

  9. Dreamcoat is tops.

  10. They are all wonderful 🙂 I would go with number three though because it looks unique and still very classy.I wish you the absolute best of luck, your scents are GORGEOUS!! Have a wonderful time.

  11. For standout, go with the Frontier Deekskin. For understated refinement, go with Chamayo inset. Not knowing your personal style means I’m going with a WAG though.

  12. If you’re wanting to get noticed in a standout manner, I’d go with the tan leather fringe. For something a bit more understated and refined, go with the Chimayo inset. Not know what your personal style is this is a bit of a WAG.
