Heaven Fresh
I’m certain that Heaven smells like Orange Blossoms. It’s by far one of my most favorite experiences to walk through the orange groves in bloom near me. In the Spring, sometimes I get to spend a few days lingering there to absorb and adore the overwhelming beauty of the scent, along with the bees humming along with their sweet honey making tune. Sandalwood, that’s likely also in my top five scents favorites: it is so comforting and calming, sharing peace, love, and grace to all who know it well. Water lilies and freesias, they have the most fresh and easy and delectably beautiful attractive scents from flowers… Cucumbers. Wow, what freshness that comes to the table when they are served… Pine needles, what beauty and freshness of lemony green to crush them in your fingers to release their scent, one of my favorite things to do when I visit the mountains near me…. Fresh Carnations and Cloves – what a great twist of freshness to me, with just enough oomph to add great interest and depth…
Oh and incidentally, those beautiful flowers… the pink ones in the photo and on the label, are from my backyard plum tree. How cool is that?
And the marshy reeds in the wind and pretty blue sky? 40 yards away from my house… fun… 😉
CASSIANO
Launched in 2016, Heaven Fresh brought another Paul Kiler’s approach to the freshness, putting one of his personal experiences inside a bottle. In fact, the bottle label brings the photo of the blossoms of a plum tree that exists in his backyard, reinforcing his involvement in every detail.
The creative concept of the fragrance speaks of the moments of pleasure that he feels during the spring when spending some time in the orange groves near his house, feeling the scent of flowers, sandalwood, and water lilies, while the bees make their hard work.
And as in the other creations of this perfumer, Heaven Fresh could not be a simple fragrance of minimalist construction. The composition lists notes of absinthe, shiso (also known as Perilla, which belongs to the family of mint), juniper, sage and clary sage, immortelle, basil, pine needles and four-leaf water clover (also known as Marsilea), making the green part. Then, fresh flowers of orange trees, neroli, carnations, water lilies, freesia, geranium, cyclamen, tuberose, and lily of the valley make up the floral bouquet. The citrus part comes from the notes of mandarin, kaffir lemon, Sicilian lemon, and orange, while the woody accord is composed of rosewood, mahogany, cedar, applewood, and sandalwood.
On the skin, Heaven Fresh is not as gigantic as its formula. But it is in constant changing and that means you will feel everything a little. Just close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by this open-air garden.
When I wear this perfume, I feel a strong menthol and balsamic content as the initial impact. It is as if you were passing through the garden gate, in its main lane. Then, the aromatic facet begins to emerge and leads me to a great fountain, in which aquatic flowers are at the height of their blossoming. At the ends, small shrubs reveal citrus fruits, still young and green. Its leaves are small and have an acidic smell. The woods appear less here, practically at the end of the walk. They serve as sustenance, like that bench, where I have been sitting down to read a book, meditate, or just listen to a song in the midst of the spring afternoons of the last days.
Heaven Fresh is a fragrance that explodes on the way out but has low tenacity, unfortunately. It deserved a reinforcement at the base in order to gain a longer duration as it is delicious and extremely relaxing.
